I would eat at Faraja Gardens and Grill every weekend if I could. The customer service was absolutely amazing, warm, attentive, and genuine. The food? Let’s just say it left me craving more long after the meal was over. The owners are absolutely amazing and so welcoming, which made the entire experience feel like dining with family. Their kindness and hospitality truly set the tone for a memorable evening. This visit was especially meaningful because my husband took me back to Newport News to revisit where we first met 20 plus years ago. Stopping by Faraja Gardens turned that trip down memory lane into something even more special. One thing’s for sure: it won’t take me another 20 years to return to Newport News, because I’ll definitely be coming back to this restaurant very soon. Highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates GREAT food and HEARTFELT hospitality.

The food – simply spectacular. Each dish was a work of art, from the beautifully presented appetizers to the perfectly executed main courses. So let me tell you I found this place on DoorDash and I was excited to see another African restaurant place the order from but when I arrive to the address, I was surprised to see it was a house. There’s no sign that says it’s a restaurant, but there was like a little paved parking lot beside the house so I said this must be it and I walked up the ramp to the door from the parking lot and this was the right place that kind of just threw me for a loop. lol the food was very good, but very small portion size. I did take pics but deleted them by accident. It was a leafy green dish and chapati and lentil stew
